The goal of a Backgammon match is to shift your checkers around the Backgammon board and pull them from the game board quicker than your competitor who works just as hard to achieve the same buthowever they move in the opposite direction. Winning a round in Backgammon requires both tactics and good luck. How far you can move your chips is up to the numbers from rolling a pair of dice, and the way you move your pieces are decided on by your overall gambling tactics. Enthusiasts use differing tactics in the different stages of a match based on your positions and opponent’s.

The Running Game Tactic

The aim of the Running Game plan is to bring all your chips into your inner board and pull them off as quickly as you could. This strategy concentrates on the speed of moving your checkers with absolutely no efforts to hit or block your opponent’s pieces. The ideal time to use this plan is when you believe you can move your own chips faster than your opposition does: when 1) you have a fewer checkers on the game board; 2) all your pieces have past your competitor’s checkers; or 3) the opposing player doesn’t use the hitting or blocking plan.

The Blocking Game Tactic

The main goal of the blocking plan, by its title, is to block your opponent’s chips, temporarily, while not worrying about moving your pieces rapidly. Once you have created the blockade for your competitor’s movement with a few chips, you can move your other checkers rapidly off the game board. The player will need to also have a good plan when to withdraw and shift the checkers that you utilized for blocking. The game gets interesting when the opponent utilizes the same blocking technique.
