The goal of a Backgammon game is to move your chips around the Backgammon board and get them off the board quicker than your opponent who works harder to do the same buthowever they move in the opposing direction. Winning a match in Backgammon needsrequires both tactics and luck. How far you can shift your checkers is left to the numbers from rolling the dice, and just how you move your pieces are decided on by your overall playing strategies. Enthusiasts use a number of strategies in the different stages of a game dependent on your positions and opponent’s.

The Running Game Strategy

The goal of the Running Game tactic is to bring all your pieces into your inside board and get them off as quick as you can. This plan concentrates on the speed of advancing your pieces with absolutely no efforts to hit or block your competitor’s chips. The best scenario to employ this technique is when you believe you can move your own checkers quicker than your opposition does: when 1) you have less checkers on the game board; 2) all your chips have past your opponent’s checkers; or 3) the opponent doesn’t employ the hitting or blocking tactic.

The Blocking Game Tactic

The main goal of the blocking technique, by its title, is to stop your opponent’s pieces, temporarily, not worrying about shifting your chips rapidly. As soon as you’ve created the blockade for the opponent’s movement with a few pieces, you can shift your other chips quickly from the board. The player will need to also have a good strategy when to extract and move the chips that you utilized for the blockade. The game gets interesting when your competitor utilizes the same blocking technique.
